SIMPLE AC GENERATOR

Things you need;

        ITEM                                                               QUANTITY

1. Thin insulated copper wire                                   10or20 meter
2. cylindrical empty bottle                                            1
3. led                                                                              1
4. bar or any type of magnet                                          1
5. iron rod(as axis for rotation)                                      1

Tools;

1. scissors
2. cello tape
3. sand paper

PROCEDURE

1. wound the insulated copper wire outside the bottle.
2. fix the magnet on the axis using cello tape or glue.
3. punch hole on bottom and top(on the bottle cap) of the bottle so that the metal rod with the magnet can rotate freely.
4. open the bottle and insert the rod through the hole so that  ends of the rod come out of the bottle.
5. now remove insulation at the ends of the wire and connect it to the terminals of the LED.
6. now rotate the rod with you hand and you can see the LED blinking.
7. if we connect this to a rotating object we could get continuous AC output.
